I got to test this today in moderate rain walking a mile and a half to work. I wore a T-shirt with this over it, and a light backpack on my back. By the time I got to work, my T-shirt was soaked in the places the backpack straps pressed against the raincoat. Also, I don't have huge arms, but this thing is tight in the elbows when I bend my arms. Lastly, the hood is a little too small to be pulled over and shield your eyes from the falling drops.

I bought this for my husband for our Alaska cruise. He normally wears a 3X, which is the size I bought, and it fit as expected. It was terrific for the cruise because it rained all day in Juneau. The jacket was lightweight but kept him dry. It was exactly what I needed for him.

This is a nice jacket that wont weigh you down when its raining. I traditionally wear between a large and xl. I ordered the XL for this jacket and tge length is perfect. Only issue i have is it's a little small in the shoulders.
